By Dayna Farrington | Tipton | Crime | Published:

Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing a man after a van was stolen in Tipton.

Do you recognise this man?

The owner of the van was put in a headlock by two offenders who later stole the vehicle.

The van was stolen in Tozer Street, in Tipton, on Saturday, July 27.

The van was later recovered – but Sandwell Police have released an image of a man they say was seen in the van after it was stolen.

A spokesman for Sandwell Police said: "Do you know this man? A van was stolen on Tozer Street in Tipton on Saturday July 27.

"The owner of the van was gripped in a headlock, as two offenders took the keys from him. The van was later recovered and this man was seen in it."

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call West Midlands Police, quoting incident number 20SW/181546C/19.
