Police appeal after Rugeley assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men suffered head injuries after an assault in Rugeley.

A Staffordshire Police officer on patrol found two men with head injuries in Bow Street, at around 9.50pm on Sunday, May 26.

A 49-year-old man, from Uttoxeter, had cuts to his nose and 36-year-old man who was with him had a wound on the back of his head which needed hospital treatment.

The assault is believed to have taken place in Olly's Bar, in Bow Street, and was carried out by someone unknown to the two men.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 826 of May 26. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
