Mugger snatches phone from two-year-old girl in Great Barr street

A thief snatched a phone from a two-year-old child while her mother was using a cash machine in Great Barr.

The theft happened on Thornbridge Avenue

Police are now on the hunt for the criminal, after receiving reports of the theft on Thornbridge Avenue.

West Midlands Police said that a woman was at a cash machine with her young daughter, who was on her mother's phone, when someone approached and snatched the phone from the child.

Members of the public chased after him and managed to recover the phone but the thief fled the scene.

It happened at about 7.15pm on Wednesday.
