Arrest after Upper Gornal stabbing

A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Upper Gornal.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Kent Street, at around 7.20pm yesterday.

A man in his 20s suffered two superficial wounds to the back.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and has been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
