Officers chased a car through Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon after the driver failed to stop.

A 22-year-old man was then arrested when police stopped the vehicle on Lincoln Street, off Wednesfield Road, just outside the city centre, at 4.15pm.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, failing to stop and dangerous driving.

"He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue."
