A stolen black Nissan Qashqai was pursued by officers on August 7 when suspects dumped it on Wednesbury Oak Road, in Tipton, and fled the scene.

The car had been stolen from Moxley, in Walsall, on July 30 and police believe it has been used in a number of thefts, after being spotted by police in Bradley, Wolverhampton, last week.

Once the car was recovered after the police chase in Tipton, it was forensically examined and enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects.

Officers found a number of tools in the car, which they believe to be stolen, and are now appealing to track down the owners.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "If you think you know who any of the tools belong to, or recognise them as your own please contact DC 5897 Blakeman or DC 8963 Carter at Wolverhampton Police by calling 101 extension 871 3137 or email d.blakeman@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk..

"Alternatively you can contact us via live chat at www.west-midlands.pnn.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime.
