Man found with stab wounds in Darlaston street

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found in a Darlaston Street with stab wounds.

Police and paramedics found the 21-year-old at the junction of Slater Street and Victoria Road just before 11.30pm yesterday.

He suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital today.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 11.20pm to reports of a man in his 20s who had been attacked.

"We sent an ambulance, paramedic officer and a merit trauma doctor.

"He was treated for significant injuries and taken on blue lights to hospital."

A West Midlands Police spokesman added: "Enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to get in touch via live chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk/ between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime.
