Boy, 12, injured in Sedgley street 'assault'

A 12-year-old boy was found with a neck injury after a reported attack on a street in Sedgley.

Police found the youngster in Daffodil Close just before 6pm on Thursday.

One ambulance and two paramedic officers were sent to the scene after reports of an assault.

The boy remained in hospital for treatment on Friday, although his injuries are not throughout to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers from West Midlands Police are working to establish how he came to be injured.
