By Jamie Brassington | Stafford | Crime | Published:

Police seized £10,000 worth of cannabis and £1,000 cash after raiding a house in a Staffordshire town.

Officers knocked down a door at the address in Baswich, Stafford, where they uncovered the drugs and cash.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said the cannabis was "being dealt to local children".

A 48-year-old man is helping police with enquiries, police said.

Officers conducted the raid yesterday following a search warrant.

Stafford Police tweeted: "Stafford NPT executed a search warrant at a Baswich address yesterday. We recovered over £10k of cannabis and nearly £1k in cash. The cannabis was being dealt to local children. A 48 year old male is helping us with our enquiries. Does anybody know a good joiner"
