Police release CCTV images after Birmingham train station staff racially abused

An appeal has been launched after staff at a Birmingham train station were racially abused by a passenger.

British Transport Police officers are investigating the hate crime incident at Birmingham Snow Hill train station.

A man approached three members of rail staff at the ticket barrier, before making racially offensive comments.

The man was then asked to buy a ticket, however he ignored staff and forced his way through the barriers.

British Transport Police has now released CCTV images of the man they are looking to identify in connection with the incident at around 7.30pm on March 29.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call 0800 405040 quoting reference 634 of March 29.
