Woman released under investigation after arson attack on Wolverhampton factory unit

A woman who was arrested over an arson attack on an industrial unit has been released pending investigation.

Fire crews from across the city were called to HotSales Ltd, Showell Road in Bushbury, after reports of a factory blaze.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson in the aftermath of the fire, which engulfed "100 per cent" of the single-storey building.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "She has been released pending investigation."

A total of 17 firefighters from four fire engines attended, which was reduced to 14 firefighters an hour later.

The fire happened at 7.26am yesterday.

Enquiries are ongoing in conjunction with the fire service to establish the cause of the fire, the force confirmed.
