Man injured after suspected hit and run in Stourbridge

A man has been left injured after a suspected hit and run in Stourbridge.

The man, aged in his 30s, was injured after getting out of a taxi on Brook Street in Oldswinford in the early hours of this morning.

Police are still working to establish the details of the incident and are appealing for witnesses.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A man in his 30s was injured after getting out of a taxi on Brook Street in Oldswinford just before 1am this morning.

"It’s thought he may have been struck by a car, which did not stop at the scene, however enquiries continue to establish exactly what happened.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime quoting log number 140 of 12/5."
