Trio arrested after shots fired in Smethwick street

No one is reported to have been injured in the disorder in Great Arthur Street just before 7.30pm on Tuesday.

West Midlands Police officers have now launched an investigation into the disorder and have asked anyone with information to come forward.

Three men were arrested for violent disorder and firearms offences and have since been released on bail.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "Police are investigating a disorder after shots were fired on Great Arthur Street, in the Smethwick area of Sandwell, just before 7.30pm on Tuesday.

"There are no reported injuries and three men aged 18, 22 and 25, were arrested for violent disorder and firearms offences and have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

"Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances around the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police."
