The pair, aged 17 and 18, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

But a West Midlands Police spokesman confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that the two teenagers have been released pending further investigation.

It comes after a 16-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, was also released pending further investigation.

Keelan, 15, was stabbed to death just yards from his home by an armed group of masked attackers at around 11pm on May 29 last year, in Strathfield Walk, in the Merry Hill area of Wolverhampton.

In ten months since Keelan's murder, six other teenagers – aged 14, 15, 16, 17, 16 and 16 – have been arrested in connection with his murder and have all been released pending further investigation.

On Tuesday, Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, from West Midlands Police's homicide unit, said: "My dedicated team of detectives continues its efforts to get answers for Keelan’s family and bring those responsible for his death to justice."

Anyone with information in relation to Keelan's murder, is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
