Man 'caught growing cannabis in shower of his Wolverhampton home'

A man has been arrested after a stash of cannabis was found in the shower at a Wolverhampton home.

Police found the illegal drug in the bathroom of a house in Essington Way, Eastfield.

The 44-year-old was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug and a public order offence after what police described as a "mental health incident".

The plant featured in every part of the man's diet – from oil to tea - according to police, who posted a photo of cannabis leaves, buds and oil.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police Service, said: "A 44-year-old man was arrested in Essington Way, Eastfield, Wolverhampton, at 10am on suspicion of producing a controlled drug and public order offence.

"He is currently in police custody."
