Fresh appeal after elderly man hit with his own car in Wolverhampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was hit with his own vehicle during a carjacking on his Wolverhampton driveway.

The 81 year old had parked on his driveway in Kitchen Lane, Ashmore Park, and got our of his car to put his bin away, leaving his keys in the ignition of the blue Hyundai Getz.

Two men got into it and reversed it off the driveway, hitting the victim as he stood in the path of the car at around 3pm on Wednesday.

He was left bruised, and the attackers drove off.

The car was later recovered by police in the Underhill area.
