The car stuck in the flood in Dudley after a police chase

A Land Rover Freelander failed to stop for police in Dudley but became trapped in flood water and so the driver fled from the scene.

West Midlands Police Traffic posted on Twitter showing the vehicle stuck in the water with its headlights on, along with pictures of bags of drugs and suspected cannabis plants.

They said: "The driver of this Freelander failed to stop around @DudleyPolice area last night, before coming unstuck in preemptive river on Pensnett Road.

"He made off on foot but left all his loot and mobile phone behind. Give us a shout if you want your ‘stuff’ back #Oops #KnockKnock."
