Man charged over 'attempted abduction of girls in Wolverhampton street'

A man has appeared in court after allegedly trying to abduct two teenage girls off the street.

Craig Thomas, aged 32, has been charged with two counts of attempted abduction.

It is alleged he got out of his car and tried to grab two girls on First Avenue, Low Hill, Wolverhampton, around 4pm on Friday.

Thomas, of Goodyear Avenue, Low Hill, appeared before magistrates in Wolverhampton on Monday and has been remanded in custody.

Police are appealing for the drivers of two cars seen in the area at the time of the incident to come forward, as they believe they may have vital information as to what happened.
