Machete-wielding men flee cafe fight as armed police investigate

Armed police were sent to tackle a group of machete-wielding men after a fight broke out at a cafe.

Firearms officers arrived in the street in Bloxwich to find the men had fled.

But after a search a machete was found in a nearby bin which will be sent for forensic tests.

The fight happened at the cafe in Beeches Road, Leamore, at around 11.45am on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses spotted police searching a blue Ford Fiesta which had several windows smashed.

Its windows were shattered with glass scattered on the ground.

Police say they were searching a suspected stolen car that was abandoned.

Enquiries are ongoing but at present no arrests have been made.
