Footage from inside the casino has been released as police hunt the armed gang.

CCTV of an armed raid at Shaftesbury Casino in West Bromwich High Street

This video shows the moment a masked gang armed with a sledgehammer and a knife raided a Black Country casino.

The gang burst into Shaftesbury Casino on High Street in West Bromwich and threatened staff at the front desk before making off with an unknown amount of cash.

In the CCTV released by police, staff can be seen behind the desk, while a member of the public waits nearby, right next to the gang carrying deadly weapons.

The footage shows one of the masked men pointing a knife at a casino worker before some of the men make their way further inside.

Police released the film today as they appealed for anyone with information about the robbery to come forward.

The raid happened at around 7pm on December 19. Three weeks later and police are yet to make any arrests.

Shaftesbury Casino on West Bromwich High Street

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We’re appealing for information following an armed robbery at a casino in West Bromwich.

"Four masked men, armed with a sledgehammer and knife entered Shaftesbury Casino, High Street, at around 7pm on Wednesday 19 December.

"They threatened staff and then made off with a quantity of cash.
