Akarsh Tasleem, aged 23 and from Broadway West in Walsall, spoke only to confirm his personal details and was remanded in custody until February 25.

He will then be expected to enter pleas to charges alleging he murdered the father of four and was in possession of a bladed article.

Mr Hussain, from Nelson, Burnley, was found stabbed to death at 9.40pm after a car crashed into a Chinese takeaway in Central Drive, Lower Gornal, on December 4 last year.

Nabeel Choudhary, aged 20 and from Hope Street in West Bromwich, is already in custody charged with the murder and possession of an imitation firearm.

The pair will appear in the dock together on February 25.

A trial has provisionally been set to start at the same court on June 3.
