Four men in court over Penn robbery where mother was tied up

Four men have appeared in court after a daytime burglary in Wolverhampton where a woman was tied up.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was at home with her two-year-old child in Penn when a gang of men forced their way into the home just before 10am on December 20.

It's believed one of the men pretended to be a delivery driver before the gang forced their way in when the woman opened the door. Her wrists and ankles were then tied with cable ties.

Four unemployed men have since been charged with robbery and appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court on December 22.

They are:

  • Mohammed Masud, aged 36, of no fixed address

  • Daniel Linton, 33, of no fixed address

  • Talha Azim, 27, of Priestland Road in Shard End

  • Danny Hussain, 30, of Lyme Green Road in Stechford

All four were remanded in custody until January 18 when they are expected to enter please on their charges at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
