Appeal after teenager hit by 'machete' in Stafford attack

A teenager was injured after being stuck with a 'machete' in a brutal attack in Stafford.

Police have launched an appeal to trace the attacker who made off in a van.

It happened close to The Four Crosses pub at the junction between Marston Road and Sandon Road.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Staffordshire Police say the injury was caused by a bladed article, believed to be a machete-type weapon.

The attacker fled in a grey Transit style van after the attack at around 6.30pm on Monday.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 663 of November 12.
