Man stabbed multiple times in Bloxwich attack

A man is in a serious condition after being repeatedly stabbed in Bloxwich.

The 57-year-old was taken to hospital following an attack, which took place in Stoney Lane, Little Bloxwich.

A woman, aged 50, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on police bail.

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to a major trauma centre.

West Midlands Police has launched an investigation following the incident, which took place at around 4am on Saturday.

Officers were at the scene at Thomas House tower block for several hours.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.

A force spokeswoman said: “We were called at 4am to reports that a man had suffered a number of stab wounds at a property on Stoney Lane, Little Bloxwich.

“The 57-year-old was taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious.

“A woman, aged 50, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on police bail.

“Inquiries continue, but officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called just before 4am to a property in Stoney Lane.

“An ambulance, paramedic officer and also a major trauma team attended the scene.

“They treated a man with serious injuries and was taken on blue lights for further care to a major trauma unit.”
