Man dragged from mobility scooter in knife point West Bromwich robbery

A disabled man was dragged from his mobility scooter at knife point in a shocking robbery.

The victim suffered injuries to his face after being pulled along during the West Bromwich attack.

The 69-year-old man had to be taken to hospital after the assault in Beacon View Road, in the Charlemont estate.

Police are now trying to track down the attacker after the robbery on Monday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "A man passing in his car witnessed the attack and stopped to help the victim.

"Police were on the scene within minutes but the robber had fled."
