Man is charged after weapons recovered at his home in Lye

A Black Country man has been charged with firearms offences after police searched his home and found a handgun and Taser-style electric shock device.

Aaron Williams, of Gibbs Road, Lye, has been charged with possessing a firearm, ammunition and a prohibited weapon.

Unemployed Williams was due to appear before Walsall Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.

The 38-year-old was arrested during a warrant at his home address on Friday. During a search of the property police officers recovered a handgun and a Taser-style electric shock device.
