The discovery at Croxstalls Road in Bloxwich was made at around 5.20pm on Wednesday.

Three cars, believed to have been stole, were found alongside a large quantity of dismantled parts.

Investigations, including detailed forensic examination, are currently in the early stages.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Chop shops are dangerous places where stolen cars are sold on to be stripped for parts.

"Often, these parts are then used to repair a car that’s been written off by an insurance company.

"The people putting these cars back together often have no qualifications and will then sell the botched-together vehicle on legitimate websites, putting lives at risk and creating a demand for stolen cars.

"There are many legitimate salvage yards operating but we know there are also a number of chop shops out there, perhaps operating in an industrial unit, or in a garage or mechanic’s premises or even in someone’s garden.
