Shamed police inspector Lee Bartram sacked over indecent child images

A disgraced police inspector from the West Midlands who admitted making or distributing more than 300 indecent images of children has been sacked.

Inspector Lee Bartram was dismissed from the senior role during a hearing held at West Midlands Police headquarters in the centre of Birmingham yesterday.

Bartram, aged 44, of Bustleholme Lane, West Bromwich, was sacked for gross misconduct by force chiefs.

He is due to be sentenced next Thursday after pleaded guilty to five counts of making indecent images of a child.

He is also accused of two counts of distributing indecent material.

The shamed officer was remanded in custody.

Bartram admitted distributing one category B image and 10 category C images on May 13 this year.

He is also charged with making eight category A images on his iPhone and iPad, as well as eight category B images and 290 category C images, between August 15, 2013 and August 15, 2018.
