Man charged with bomb hoax at West Bromwich Territorial Army base

A 50-year-old man has been charged over a bomb hoax in West Bromwich earlier this week.

Teams from the bomb disposal unit arrived at the TA last week

Officers were called to reports of a suspicious package being delivered to the Territorial Army base in Carters Green just after 11.10am on Wednesday.

The centre was evacuated as a precaution and a controlled explosion carried out.

Ronald Miller, of City Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, was arrested on Friday night and has now been charged with a bomb hoax. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Walsall Magistrates Court on Monday.
