Man charged over Brierley Hill factory fire

A man has been charged after a fire ripped through a factory causing £700,000 worth of damage.

Paul Hancox, of Larch Road, Kingswinford, appeared before Dudley Magistrates' Court this week.

The 27-year-old faces one count of arson following the blaze on August 10.

P S Patterns Ltd, in Navigation Drive, Netherton, near Brierley Hill, was destroyed in the fire which started at around 4.40am.

At its height more than nine crews tackled the blaze.

Hancox was remanded into custody to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 10.
