Abid Hussain, aged 50, of Wells Avenue, Darlaston, has been charged with conspiracy to import Class A drugs alongside 54 year-old Janger Khan of William Cook Road, Birmingham.

The pair were stopped at a Heathrow airport car park on Sunday.

Searching their car, which Hussain was driving, National Crime Agency (NCA) officers found ten kilos of heroin in a suitcase in the boot.

A subsequent search of Hussain's home uncovered £7,700 in cash, which the NCA say they believe to be criminal money.

Both men appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday and were remanded into custody until their next appearance at Blackfriars Crown Court on August 20.
