Masked men armed with knives rob village Tesco

By Charlotte Callear | Lichfield | Crime | Published:

Knife-wielding thugs robbed a Tesco Express store this morning.

Two offenders with knives entered the shop in Shenstone, a village between Aldridge and Lichfield, at around 7am and forced a lone member of staff to open one of the tills.

They left the Birmingham Road store with cash and cigarettes before running in the direction of Park Lane or Churchill Road.

Both were described as very slim, around 5ft 5ins or 5ft 6ins tall, dressed all in black with hoods up and wearing face masks and gloves.

One was carrying a multi-coloured woven Bag for Life.

Any witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage are asked to call 101 and quote incident number 99 of July 18.
