Wolverhampton man charged with murder after Northampton stabbing

A Wolverhampton man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Northampton.

Daniel Quinn, aged 27 and of Haden Hill, Chapel Ash, was due to appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court this morning accused of killing Daniel Fitzjohn.

Mr Fitzjohn died in hospital after he was attacked in the Kingsley area of the East Midlands town last Thursday.

The 34-year-old was found with serious stab wounds in Randall Road after police were called to an altercation in nearby Brookfield Road at around 9.45pm.

Mr Fitzjohn was taken to Northampton General Hospital but was pronounced dead there a short while later.
