West Midlands Police also seized 13 vehicles, including three caravans, during the crackdown in Leamore.

Six of the vehicles were confirmed to be stolen. Cash and other suspected stolen property were also recovered from five addresses in the area which were raided by officers on Tuesday.

The suspects, three men and three women, have been released under investigation.

The force stated the operation was to target 'known offenders' in the area following a recent spike in vehicle crime.

Inspector Mike Mason from the local neighbourhood team, said: “Today’s operation was about letting people who commit crime know it won’t be tolerated.

"There has been a recent spike in vehicle crime in the area, and following police investigation and community intelligence, we executed the warrants and made arrests."

Anyone with information which could assist in the investigation has been asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where they can remain anonymous.
