Attack left teenage girl with broken jaw

Police are appealing for help to find a man who left a 15 year old girl with a broken jaw after an assault.

Staffordshire Police are looking for witnesses for the attack, which took place on September 18 in the pedestrian subway at Walton Island.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We need your help to find a man who assaulted a 15-year-old girl in Stone last month.

"The incident occurred sometime between 6.30pm and 7.00pm on Monday 18 September in the pedestrian subway (Walton Island) under the A34 in Stone adjacent to the Shell petrol station.

"The victim and another girl were sitting on the floor of the subway when a man walked by and kicked her in the face causing a broken jaw.

"The offender is described as a white male, approximately 50-years-old, with grey hair. He was wearing black trousers, black jacket and boots.

"If you witnessed the assault or have any information that could assist with our investigation, please call us on 101 quoting incident 697 of 18 September."
