The victim, aged in her 80s, initially received a bogus call which claimed to be a police officer informing her money had been taken from her account; and was then referred over to a woman purporting to be from the bank.

She was then duped into leaving her bank card in an envelope outside her home in Great Barr for collection and to give her account details.

The card was then taken and used to withdraw money from a cash machine in Birchfield Road on August 21. It was also used at a shop in Aldridge Road, Great Barr, where the image of the woman being sought by police was captured on CCTV.

Anyone with information can call DS Jonathan Gill, from Force CID, on 101; extension 845 6099 quoting crime reference number 20BW/178432Q/17.
