This bank robber is still on the loose

The brazen robber struck in Bearwood, Oldbury and Dudley, as well as three times in Birmingham, between November and March last year.

During the raid at Lloyds TSB in Bearwood Road, Bearwood, on February 17, the robber stopped calmly to pick up his umbrella from the floor on his way out.

He also struck at One Stop in Buffery Road, Dudley, on November 26 last year at 8.30pm and Coventry Building Society in Hagley Road West, Oldbury, on January 21 at 4.10pm.

A closer view of the villain

Along with raids on three other banks and shops in Birmingham, all between November and March, police say he stole around £20,000.

All victims said he approached staff in a calm manner before forcing them to hand over money. Some witnesses failed to even realise they were watching a robbery.

An appeal was put out on BBC One's Crimewatch last year, but the offender is still at large.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
