A cyclist was injured in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Kidderminster

A passing police officer came to the aid of the male cyclist found lying in the road.

Police have launched an appeal for anyone who saw a silver Ford Fiesta around the time of the crash to come forward.

The crash happened on Stourbridge Road shortly after 10.45pm on Thursday in the Horse Fair area .

Police believe the car made off from the scene along Hurcott Road towards Chester Road.

The 40-year-old he was treated at the scene by paramedics but escaped serious injury, suffering minor bruising to his legs.

Inquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen to identify the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 872S of 18 May.
