Two arrested as man seriously injured in attack outside Black Country pub

A man was in a serious condition in hospital today after being attacked outside a Black Country pub.

Police say the victim, named locally as Leon Hall, who is in his 40s, was assaulted outside the Staffordshire Knot in Darlaston just after midnight.

Officers have sealed off an area around the Pinfold Street pub and have erected a blue tent.

On Sunday afternoon, police revealed they had arrested a man aged 50 from West Bromwich and another aged 25 from Burntwood.

The police helicopter is also reported to have been deployed.

Det Insp Gary Plant appealed for anyone who may have seen what had happened to get in touch.
