Drink-drive suspect charged after M6 Toll barrier crash

Birmingham | News | Published:

This was the scene after a suspected drink-driver crashed into barriers on the M6 Toll in the West Midlands.

The red Toyota was badly damaged in the collision, but police said no one was injured.

It happened at the Weeford Plaza Junction, T3 to T4.

Officers from Central Motorway Police Group arrested a man aged 38 from the Birmingham area after he allegedly failed a breath test at around 5.45am on Sunday.

They revealed on Monday morning that he had been charged with drink driving, after tests allegedly showed he was twice the legal limit.
