Mystery woman said to be from Walsall identified by police
West Midlands Police today took the unusual step of releasing an image of a wanted suspect - without saying what she is alleged to have done.
Officers said they wanted to speak to the woman, who goes by the name of Sandra and purports to be from Walsall.
At around noon, they said they had identified a woman as part of the investigation.
Earlier, they said officers from the public protection unit (PPU) wanted to speak to her about an allegation of inappropriate communications.
But they refused to elaborate.
The public protection unit traditionally deals with allegations of rape and child abuse.
