Second man arrested over Wolverhampton barber shop fight

A second person has been arrested after a dispute at a Wolverhampton city centre barber shop that saw a man stabbed and another injured.

Two men were taken to hospital after police and paramedics were called to Prestige Barbers on Stafford Street on Wednesday February 5.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, while police say that a 27-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of wounding on Thursday February 13.

Both men remain on police bail.

Police issued a fresh appeal for shoppers that may have seen something to come forward.

Detective Constable Tom Keady, from Force CID in Bloxwich,said: "Stafford Street is a main thoroughfare in and out of Wolverhampton city centre and we are sure people may have been in the area and seen people before or after the alleged crime.

"We want those people to contact us as soon as possible ? as well as anyone who may have been in the shop at the time and is yet to come forward."
