The estate agent group, which operates offices in Wolverhampton, Wednesbury, Walsall and Cannock, has taken delivery of its first selection of new, fully electric Vauxhall Corsa-e models, allowing the company to move one step closer to their green energy goals.

The new energy efficient vehicles were selected because Belvoir’s busy network of local offices mean the sales team are often on the road visiting potential buyers and sellers. By choosing fully electric models, the business will reduce their overall impact on the environment, as well as, helping to save money on running costs.

Staff at the estate agency cover a large amount of mileage every day, which is why Belvoir Wolverhampton have made the move to electric and selected the Corsa-e due to its comprehensive electric range. The model enables drivers to get up to 209 miles from a single charge, allowing staff at the estate agent to use the vehicles all day without additional topping up.

David Warke, director of Belvoir Sales and Lettings Wolverhampton, commented: “As a pro-active business we felt the need to move to electric was an important decision that not only helped reduce our costs, but also enhanced our green credentials. The support and advice we received from Evans Halshaw has been excellent, meaning we felt comfortable and well informed to make the switch to electric. Local people can look out for the vehicles which are now on Wolverhampton roads offering our award-winning services to customers.”

Kim Costello, chief marketing officer for Pendragon, which owns Evans Halshaw, also added: “The popularity of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing so we are delighted to see Belvoir select the Corsa-e as their vehicle of choice. The model offers both a stylish design, as well as, an excellent battery range which is ideal for their business and will serve them well into the future as their company continues to grow.”

With the recent announcement of the Government’s decision to end the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans from 2030, many other companies across the West Midlands are also likely to follow suit. Associates at Vauxhall Wolverhampton are able to offer advice on the latest EV technology across the Vauxhall range should businesses wish to find out more.
