More than100 people registered to attend a workshop at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton on Wednesday to find out how to put on an event.

The festival takes place from May 11 to 21 and over the past two years the festival has involved more than 100 events.

Applications to host an event in this year’s festival will close on February 28.

Events can be about any subject and run in any format, as long as they add value to the business community and can include seminars, interactive workshops, sports activities, question panels and exhibitions.

Businesses can apply to host an event on the festival website www.blackcountrybusinessfestival

The festival was introduced to the region by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce in 2018.

Corin Crane, chamber chief executive, said; "The Business Festival is entering into its third consecutive year and has become a staple feature in many organisations calendars.

"The How to Host event was brilliant, it was great to see so many new businesses taking an interest in the festival and what it has to offer. I am positive the 2020 programme will reflect the strength of the Black Country and the depth and breadth of our local business community."
