The family-run business in Stourbridge was started on January 4, 1988

Its six-strong workforce makes windows, doors and staircases as well as more specialist items.

Director Paul Smith said the firm was performing well.

"We are still snowed under with work and that business is looking good. Our work force consists of five family members plus Callam Rich who recently served his apprenticeship with Prospect Joinery and is now fully employed by the firm," he said.

Prospect Joinery is doing its bit to keep the industry alive from its Old Wharf Road premise by taking pupils from local schools for work experience for a week or two at a time.

"We have also had apprentices work for the firm in the past. It's important to get new people into the industry to keep it moving forward," added Mr Smith.
