Imperial Retail Park, located on Eastern Avenue, has been in development following its acquisition by Hortons’ Estate from previous owners IMI Norgren.

Following demolition in late 2017, the former manufacturing site has been turned into six retail units in just 10 months, which includes both the relocation of Lidl to new, larger premises and a new Costa drive thru.

Richard Norgrove, property director of Hortons’ Estate, said: “It has been great to see the development reach completion exactly on programme and with excellent feedback from our tenants. With strong interest in the remaining units, we hope to announce additional occupiers at the development very soon.”

Mark Wright, Partner at Trebor Developments, who have delivered the development, said: “It been a real team effort in dealing with a complex redundant factory site to create this new development in such a quick programme. The new retail park looks superb and the works have also prepared a site ready for 70 new dwellings that will come forward in the new year.”

Speller Metcalfe was the contractor responsible for the build and its regional director Rob Lashford said: “We have been delighted to provide the residents and visitors of Lichfield with a fantastic new retail park.

“This has not only provided opportunities for employment throughout the construction period but will go on to have a positive impact on the local economy through the creation of local jobs for the longer term.”
