There are 10 categories this year with the winners of some going through to the British Chambers of Commerce regional and national awards.

They include best use of technology, excellence in manufacturing and engineering, export business of the year and small business of the year.

The awards are open to all members of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce for free and to non-members at a fee.

Julie Cunningham, chamber president, said: “Our Annual Awards provide a great opportunity for businesses from across the Black Country to celebrate their success. As a region, we have a large number of innovative companies that operate across a diverse range of sectors, which is something that the chamber seeks to actively champion.

“In addition, we are delighted to announce that the Rotary Club of Dudley are donating a cash prize of £1,000 to the winner of the young person or apprentice of the year award, which is to be used as a contribution towards their personal development during their apprenticeship.”

The shortlist for each of the categories will be announced in September. Winners will then be announced at the awards dinner on November 9 at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
