Mr Amaira joins from Family Building Society where he was head of intermediary sales, a post he held for more than three years.

At the Tipton he will be responsible for sales, marketing, product development and retention and will report to the society's chief executive Richard Newton.

"It's my aim to get the Tipton name better known in the intermediary market. I'm looking forward to using my experience to bring new ideas to the table for the Society to consider, particularly in relation to products and criteria and growing the Tipton's mortgage book in what's an increasingly competitive mortgage market," said Mr Amaira

Mr Newton said: "Cammy brings a wealth of experience, a sound knowledge of the intermediary market and lots of industry contacts and he's an excellent addition to the society."

Aberdeen-born Mr Amaira, who now lives in Southam, Warwickshire, is married with three children and three grandchildren. He has CeMap (Certificate in Mortgage Advice) and FPC (Financial Planning Certificate) qualifications and enjoys football, golf and squash.
