Andy Cliffe joins the road operator next month from his current role as managing director of East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports, part of the Manchester Airports Group of which he is an executive committee member.

Mr Cliffe, who was born in Lichfield and brought up in Burntwood, previously held a number of roles within MAG including group marketing director, group strategy director and managing director of assets, with time spent in his 19 years at MAG across finance, operations, commercial, real estate development, strategy and corporate development functions.

The current acting chief executive Graham Parcell, said: “Andy is a great addition to the team. He has been at the forefront of developing East Midlands Airport’s business, which in turn has helped the local business community there. He joins the M6toll at an exciting time with the numbers of customers growing strongly and I am sure he can take that momentum on.”

Mr Parcell will now revert to his non-executive eirector position on the group’s boards.

The M6 Toll, which stretches for 27 miles from Junction 11a on the M6 near Cannock, to Junction 3a at Coleshill, Warwickshire, is Britain’s only privately funded motorway and was built following £1 billion of private investment.
