Katherine Ellis, a senior associate solicitor in the charities and communities team at Thursfields, will discuss legacy marketing and management at the next “Worcestershire Fundraisers Meet-Up”.

The free event will take place between 10am and 12 noon on Tuesday, November 24.

Ms Ellis, who before joining Thursfields was legacy manager for the British Heart Foundation, said: “I will be discussing why gifts in wills are vital to the sector, and how important it is to get legacy marketing and legacy management right, particularly in the current climate.

“Anyone attending will go away with suggestions of things to consider when running a successful legacy marketing campaign.

“I will also deliver some practical tips on how to manage and oversee the administration of those legacy gifts to secure maximum value for their charity.”

In her role at Thursfields, Ms Ellis supports charities across the region to maximise legacy income and strengthen their legacy marketing campaigns.

She is also a member of the West Midlands committee for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Ellen Jurczak, co-chairman of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising West Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Katherine to our next meeting, as she has a wealth of experience when it comes to charity legacy giving.

“Our virtual events are a great way to meet people in the charity and fundraising sector, and for attendees to share their concerns or to tell others what's working well for them.”

Tickets to the event are limited and can be booked at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/virtual-worcestershire-fundraisers-meet-up-institute-of-fundraising-w-mids-tickets-124665035477
